[23.06.2006] [Notice] NX Cash Fraud: Gifting Disabled

As of Friday, June 23rd EDT, the NX Cash Gift function has been disabled indefinitely. Although NX Cash Gifts were a nice way to send gifts to friends and family who don`t have access to PayPal, many users have been abusing the system to commit fraud. Most of this abuse resulted from users violating the Terms of Service by trading In-Game Items for NX Cash. Trading In-Game Items for NX Cash is strictly forbidden and all users involved in such trades will be banned.



Fraudulent Purchases



NX Games suffers a loss when a fraudulent purchase is reported. Therefore, all NX Passport accounts involved in such transactions are banned as soon as they are detected. The NX Cash Gift function has been abused by frauders to charge a large number of NX Passport accounts through illegal means (i.e. stolen credit cards, stolen PayPal accounts, etc).



NX Games has suffered heavy financial losses and we request all users refrain from accepting any offers of NX Cash charging from any strangers or game friends/acquaintances.



"Someone Offered Me NX Cash in Exchange for Items, Mesos, or Real Money"



If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! NX Cash may be charged as promised. A malicious frauder may even coax you to accept more NX Cash and refer your friends as well. However, the majority of such transactions between strangers is funded through illegal and fraudulent means (i.e. stolen credit cards, stolen PayPal accounts, etc). The frauders intent is to steal your items and sell the items/mesos traded with you on an auction for real cash. When such fraudulent activity is detected, all related accounts are banned permanently.



Your real life friends may also offer you NX Cash. However, unless it is their PayPal account, you should think twice before accepting your friend`s gift. Although he/she may have good intentions, your friend`s parent may report the purchase as an unauthorized transaction.



NX Games is paying heavy fines for this fraudulent activity. If you are banned from doing such a trade, you are not the victim. The victim is the stolen credit card/PayPal owner who must go through the pains of recovering their stolen identity and funds.



But I don`t have access to a credit card!



PayPal offers several funding options you can choose from. Before making a purchase at our website, you can charge your PayPal account using an e-check, bank transfer, or credit card. You can then make purchases with the remaining balance in your PayPal account. Also, NX Games is expanding its payment options so that more users may take advantage of our great offerings. Until then, we request that you either pay for the items yourself or play the game honestly.



Don`t be a thief!



Using someone else`s credit card (including your parents or family) without clear permission is theft. If the transaction is reported as a case of credit card theft or unauthorized purchase, the related NX Passport account will be banned permanently. All of your hard work will be lost instantly!



Do your part! Report NX Cash Fraud!



Report NX Cash traders in the game using the "Report" function.

- Right-click on abusers offering NX Cash trades or offering to buy NX Cash

- Select "Alert GM"

- Select "Scamming" from the drop menu

The GMs will investigate your reports and ban NX Passport accounts involved in fraudulent transactions. Help us fight this problem. As we are devoting all of our energies into remedying this situation, it is taking away from our efforts on other important updates.



LAST CHANCE: Report Yourself



We will offer a lesser ban of 30 days to those users who report themselves. On Monday, June 26th EDT, there a link will open for users to report themselves if they have received NX Cash gifts and suspect them to be fraudulent. All others will be permanently banned upon detection. We will find all such offenders... reported NX Cash frauders will have likely gifted multiple accounts, including yours.



You are not eligible for this mitigated action and will be permanently banned if:

1) Your account has already been banned.

2) The unauthorized transaction related to your account has already resulted in financial penalties for NX Games.



Please check the notice section for further updates on the ?Report Yourself? function. This offer will be available until Friday, June 30th, 2006. Please remember many individuals have lost hundreds of dollars due to this theft.

With NX Cash Gifting disabled, users may be tempted to share their ID and password to frauders promising to charge NX Cash. This is illegal and you are likely supporting stolen credit card activity. En gros Wizet ne veut plus voir du vol de mesos ou quoi que ce soit en échange de NX Cash. Donc, ils ont supprimés l'option de donner des Nx Cash à un autre compte (Nx Cash Gift).

Ils recommandent activement de reporter toutes les personnes qui annoncent des Nx Cash contre des mesos ou n'importe quoi en faisant un report GM>Scamming. Ils veulent réellement supprimer ce fléau et donc vont surveiller/vérifier les reports et bannir les scammeurs/voleurs.

Enfin ils reagissent jai vu un noob qui en vendait.. ca fesait comme qui dirait pas tres credible =)

Moi je trouve ca debile qu'il fassent sa car les gens qui donnent du NX contre de l'argent c'est un peut con mais c'est leur argent donc ils font ce qu'ils veulent avec si ils ont envie d'en donner contre des mesos je ne voit pas le probleme !
De plus cela permettait a certaines personnes d'avoir des NX alors qu'ils n'auraient pas pu en avoir autrement !
Enfin je ne comprend pas la réaction de wizet tout simplement parceque ce "trafic" leur faisait gagner plus d'argent -_-!

Personellement je trouve que c'est une pratique frauduleuse.. Parce que il y a énormement de scammer meme les noobs s'y mettent donc c'est pour dire! C'est juste un moyen de gagner beaucoup de mesos sans rien faire...

Il est vrai que le scamming est un "crime" mais dans le cas où il y a vrai echange la question ne se pose pas il n'en va que de la responsabilté des joueurs concernés ce n'est , selon moi , pas de la fraude !

Mais voila, a cause de ca il y a des gens qui en profitent pour scammer des autre en leurs proposant du nx et enfaite il te scam puis se deco .... Et c'est pour ca que wizet a supprimé ca...

A ce moment la wizet n'a qu'a faire un system de trad mesos contre nx fiable

En fait, c'est parce que y'a eu des cartes bleus volés ou quelque chose en ce genre qu'il on supprimé les gift =/
